There are a plethora of awful family holiday movies, but "The Family Stone" is one of the few that encapsulates the crazy family drama behind the holidays. Sarah Jessica Parker goes through a Christmas weekend of hell when she falls for her fiancé's brother, incites an awkward conversation about homosexuality, crashes a car, starts a brawl between brothers, and proceeds to ruin the Christmas dinner. "The Family Stone" is a comedic holiday film with a serious tone, unafraid to show a sad side of the holidays.
