7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

No, not the awful Jim Carrey live-action remake, but the classic 1966 animated TV special. There's not much more exciting for a kid, and even adults, than watching a favorite Dr. Seuss story come to life on screen. The story of the bitter, greedy Grinch, narrated and voiced by Boris Karloff, vacuuming up presents into his giant sack—Christmas ornaments, tree, and all—is a classic Christmas staple.
