6. “Mockingbird Lane” (2012)

Remember “The Munsters”? This spooky black-and-white classic ran from 1964 to 1966. It told the story of some benevolent monsters, who—besides the fact that they were, well, monsters—formed a fairly stereotypical 1960s American family. NBC rebooted the show in the form of a 2012 Halloween special called “Mockingbird Lane,” starring Jerry O’Connell, Portia de Rossi, and Eddie Izzard. No word yet on whether NBC will pick up “Mockingbird Lane” as a full-length series.
