3. Santa Barbara International Film Festival

On top of presenting world-premiere film screenings, panel discussions, and galas, the 28th annual SBIFF will also honor more than a dozen of this year’s Oscar nominees—including Daniel Day-Lewis, Jennifer Lawrence, and Amy Adams—during the festival, which runs Jan. 24–Feb. 3.
