The aristocratic Crawley family and its household servants return for more upstairs/downstairs melodrama when the third season of “Downton Abbey” premieres Jan. 6 on PBS’ Masterpiece Classic. This season Shirley MacLaine joins the cast and goes toe-to-toe with Maggie Smith to see who can chew more scenery.
