6. Palm Springs International Film Festival

The 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, running Jan. 3–14, features a lineup of more than 100 films from more than 60 countries. Bradley Cooper, Helen Hunt, Sally Field, Helen Mirren, Naomi Watts, the cast of “Argo,” and director Robert Zemeckis will each be honored at the fest’s Jan. 5 awards gala.
