4. TEADAWORKS Festival

Now in its 11th year, the TEADAWORKS Festival calls itself an “artist incubator.” The fest lets emerging playwrights work with professional artists to develop new works. This year the event’s theme is exploring gender identity and culture clash within immigrant families. The shows will be presented at the Attic Theatre and Film Center in L.A. March 22–24.
