4. “Steel Magnolias” 25th Anniversary

An all-star cast, including Frances Conroy, Elizabeth Perkins, Jennifer Coolidge, Annie Potts, Alexis Bledel, and Mae Whitman, performs a 25th-anniversary staged reading of Robert Harling’s “Steel Magnolias” Sept. 9 at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, Calif. The event is a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and will include a VIP reception.
