1. Scott Voss in “Here Comes the Boom” (2012)

Most teachers try to discourage physical violence. But in “Here Comes the Boom,” opening Oct. 12, biology teacher Scott Voss (Kevin James) takes up mixed martial arts in an attempt to raise $48,000 to keep his school’s music program afloat. Will he beat down his opponents and save the day? You’ll have to see the film to find out. And even if he ends up making for a crummy cage fighter, Voss is certainly one of the cutest and buffest biology teachers we’ve seen in a while.
