2. "The Other Boleyn Girl"

The 2008 film "The Other Boleyn Girl" follows the romanticized story of King Henry VIII, his affair with Mary Boleyn, and her sister, Queen Anne. The film, starring Eric Bana, Natalie Portman, and Scarlett Johansson, is based on historical fiction writer Philippa Gregory's novel of the same name. Both the film and novel were criticized for their inaccurate details, but then again, not every period piece promises veracity.
