7. "Gone with the Wind"

The most classic of all period pieces is undoubtedly "Gone with the Wind," the love story in the south during the Civil War and Reconstruction era. Victor Fleming's 1939 epic film wont eight Oscars and held the record as the film with the most wins until "Ben-Hur" won 11 in 1959. Clark Gable's Rhett and Vivien Leigh's Scarlett will forever be two of the most memorable film characters ever to grace the screen.
