In the new drama “Flight,” which hits theaters on Friday, Denzel Washington plays Whip Whitaker, an airplane pilot with a dangerous addiction. After Whitaker is forced to make an emergency landing of an aircraft, resulting in the deaths of six of the plane’s 102 passengers, an investigation reveals that the pilot had alcohol in his system during the flight.
