2. Flightplan (2005)

In this thriller, Kyle Pratt (Jodie Foster) is flying to Long Island with daughter Julia (Marlene Lawston) so Pratt can bury her late husband. When Julia mysteriously disappears from her seat, and no one else on the plane remembers having seen her, Pratt decides to find Julia on her own—a job made easier by the fact that Pratt, an engineer, designed the plane herself. Pratt eventually recovers Julia, and the kidnapping is revealed to be part of an elaborate conspiracy led by air marshal Gene Carson (Peter Sarsgaard). This movie also takes place on what’s arguably the hugest plane EVER.
