3. "Groundhog Day" (1993)

Imagine having to re-live the same day of your life over and over again. That’s the frustrating fate met by grumpy weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray), who gets caught in a time loop after turning in a lackluster report on Groundhog Day in Punxsatawney, PA. Forced to re-live February 2 over and over again, Phil eventually realizes that he can use the time loop to better himself and do good for others – a new concept for this sour, self-centered reporter. When Phil ultimately produces a beautiful Groundhog Day report, and wins the heart of news producer Rita (Andie MacDowell), he’s finally able to escape to stop re-living the same day.
