"The Today Show" host Kathy Lee Gifford says she’s always been fascinated by celebrity evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson—so fascinated, in fact, that Gifford created a Broadway musical about McPherson’s tumultuous life. Starring two-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello, and directed by David Armstrong, “Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson” is currently playing on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre.
