6. "My Name is Asher Lev"

Based on Chaim Potok’s book of the same name, “My Name is Asher Lev” tells the story of a young Hasidic Jewish man (Ari Brand) who goes against his religious father’s (Mark Nelson) wishes and pursues his true love, painting. Brand received praise for his portrayal of the title character when the play ran at Connecticut’s Long Wharf Theater.
