Steven Spielberg assembled a who’s who of character greats to make up the men and women of “Lincoln,” from leading man Daniel Day-Lewis to leading lady Sally Field. Even the smaller roles have maximum impact, from James Spader’s wonderful lobbyist to Hal Holbrook—who played Lincoln in a TV movie—as Preston Blair.
