Apparently, not many other people did either. “A Doll’s Life”—marketed as a musical sequel to Henrik Ibsen’s original masterpiece—premiered on Broadway in 1982, and closed after five performances. It starred George Hearn (pictured) and Betsy Joslyn. Some critics referred to the show as “A Doll’s Death.”
