“Breaking Bad” took home only one award, for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama, but not for the actor everyone predicted. It was assumed Giancarlo Esposito would win the gold for his steely portrayal of drug kingpin Gus Fring, but it was Aaron Paul who won his second Emmy for his role as perpetual screw-up Jesse. Still, there’s no love lost between the two—Esposito cheered and leapt to his feet to embrace Paul. Backstage, Paul praised Esposito, saying, “I cried in his arms and said, ‘It doesn’t make sense to me that I was on that stage and you’re not.’ I didn’t know what to say to him. What he did with Gus Fring was so incredible. It’s so bizarre that I’m standing here right now.”
