Although Renée Zellweger dated and married singers Jack White and Kenney Chesney, she didn’t have much singing experience before her role as Roxie Hart in 2002’s “Chicago.” Her costars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere, however, had already established themselves as notable singers on Broadway before the film. Yet Zellweger held her own in the film with a sweet, smoky voice that perfectly complimented her innocent, husband-murdering character.
