1. “The Day After Tomorrow” (2004)

Oh man, climate change really sucks. In “The Day After Tomorrow,” the entire planet become engulfed in ice and snow when global warming decides it’s going to usher in another Ice Age. As most of America’s population heads south in search of warmer weather, Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) heads northbound to Manhattan in search of his son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal). Meanwhile, Sam and his friends are chilling (literally) in New York, trying to survive in the frozen, ruined city, which is now inhabited by really scary wolves. So much for global warming.
