3. “I Am Legend” (2007)

When an attempt to cure cancer goes horribly wrong, and turns 90 percent of the world’s population into freakish mutant “Darkseekers.” The only normal human left in New York, virologist Robert Neville (Will Smith) now has to create a remedy while fending off death-by-zombie creatures. Apparently post-apocalyptic movies have a tendency towards expensiveness—the “I Am Legend” Brooklyn Bridge scene was the most expensive scene ever shot in New York City at the time the film was made.
