Nina Arianda’s role of Vanda in David Ives’ erotic dark comedy “Venus in Fur” won her numerous awards, including her first Tony. Arianda played a desperate actor attempting to seduce a show director, played by Hugh Dancy. However, in recasting Vanda with his 46-year-old French wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, and the director as 29-year-old Louis Garrel, Polanksi must have overlooked the age difference.
