2. Celia Keenan-Bolger in “Merrily We Roll Along (in Concert)”

Keenan-Bolger was an unlikely choice for the jaded, unloved-though-not-unlovable Mary Flynn in the Sondheim-Furth tuner at Encores!, but she turned naysayers on their heads with her subtle, mature interpretation, in reverse, of Mary’s harsh disillusionment. Considering that she also played a 13-year-old in “Peter and the Starcatcher” this season, her versatility astounds.
