8. Jeremy Shamos in “Clybourne Park”

Playing two characters in one play is hard for any actor, but playing two unlikable, bigoted men can take a toll. Yet in Shamos’ wise hands, these characters became relatable if not almost appealing. His Tony-nominated turn was surely a harbinger of more great roles to come.
