Looking back, it’s hard to imagine anyone else taking on the role of the British, brunette bombshell with an extreme taste for adventure, seemingly constant death wish and just a wisp of mystery. In 2001, Angelina Jolie became Lara Croft, an introverted tomb raider. Although critics stated that the movie came across as generally sloppy and almost too video game-esque, they generally loved Jolie as the title character. In the end, the franchise produced two “Tomb Raider” films. And, who didn’t like watching Jolie trying to pull off a British accent?
