5. “Max Payne”

“May Payne” can be lumped into one of those predictable video games that involves a lot of shooting, blood, and corny one-liners. Payne is an NYC undercover cop with, alas, nothing to lose (therefore, he becomes a vigilante). The game was introduced to players in 2001 for Microsoft Windows, but then was quickly made for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Gameboy. In 2008, when the dark, action-packed retelling, starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, was released, it had the action that any game lovers would have hoped for. It was just like the game: full of violence and campy, laughable one-liners.
