Although she didn’t win any awards for her role as Katie in the film “The Way We Were,” the song is at least on an award-caliber level. Who doesn’t sing the line, “misty water-colored memories, of the way we were” extremely melodramatically every time it plays? If it was good enough for Beyoncé to sing it at the Kennedy Center Honors, honoring Streisand, it’s good enough for the Oscars.
