J.J. Abrams admitted that he wasn’t the biggest “Star Trek” fan growing up, but his movie told another story. Using brilliant effects and keeping Captain Kirk and Spock alive, his “Star Trek” was way too big for the small screen. Although, potentially using too many audience blinding lens flares, Abrams’ “Trek” was full of action and time travel manipulation. In the end, Abrams’ version was meant to connect fans old and new to the next, younger Starship Enterprise crew.
