Okay, Abrams wasn’t the director or producer of this movie, but he did write the screenplay, along with Jonathan Hensleigh. But, if this Oscar-nominated movie taught anyone anything about J.J. Abrams, it’s that he knows how to put the romance and drama into a sci-fi adventure. How many times did people endlessly play with animal crackers and gush about someone out there in the world doing the exact same thing? For those “Armageddon” and “Star Wars” fans, there is a reference to “Star Wars” in the film. Coincidence?
