For his first professional gig, actor Luis De La Cruz plays a developmentally disabled factory worker in the film “Bad Hurt.” For him, the experience was nothing short of amazing. “I couldn’t have loved it more. I had just come off another 12 hours from my other job but the experience and excitement—along with countless cups of coffee—kept me going,” says De La Cruz. Despite 12-hour days, the opportunity to meet actor Theo Rossi from “Sons of Anarchy” was priceless for De La Cruz. In fact, Rossi “retweeted a picture we took on set,” he recalls.
Fairly new to Backstage, the actor is a fan of the daily casting notices posted online. He checks Backstage every day, motivated to find his next dramatic role; he’s even considering comedy. In fact, De La Cruz appreciates how the magazine “always keeps an eye out for their [readers].”
There’s sure to be more excitement for the actor and we hope for more thrilling encounters!
