The 62nd annual Golden Globe Awards are scheduled for Jan. 16 at the Beverly Hilton and will be broadcast live from 5-8 p.m. on NBC.
The schedule, released Thursday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn., will see the Globes taking place a week earlier than they did this year, when they were held Jan. 25. However, even given the earlier date, the Globes will not be announced early enough to affect Academy Awards nominations voting because nominations for the 77th Annual Academy Awards close at 5 p.m. Jan. 15.
Other key dates on the upcoming Globes schedule: Nomination ballots are due Dec. 13, and nominations will be announced at 5:30 a.m. PST Dec. 16. Final ballots will be due Jan. 12.
