When crew members of the television show "Alcatraz" knocked on the door of Dr. Janice Zakin's house, they were not expecting to be greeted by her 11-yeard old daughter.

Dr. Zakin was supposed to move her car early Wednesday morning to make room for the crew, but she had collapsed and fainted in her home, reported SFGate. Dr. Zakin had postponed fixing a wire that connects to her pacemaker's battery. Due to this malfunction, Dr. Zakin believes that she did not have blood flowing, which caused her to pass out.

Her daughter Tatiana discovered her mother and woke her up. Dr. Zakin felt dizzy and could not move her leg, but despite being an OB/GYN doctor, she decided not call for medical assistance "[Tatiana] asked if she should call 911, but I’m not a drama queen, so I said no," Dr. Zakin told SFGate.

The "Alcatraz" crew then knocked on the door and Tatiana answered, saying her mother required help. "The next thing I knew, it looked like 10 handsome men were in my room," Dr. Zakin said. "I clearly needed to go to the hospital. I didn't know what was happening to my heart." The crew notified on-set police officers and an ambulance arrived to take her to the hospital, reported TMZ

Dr. Zakin was back at home Wednesday evening and expressed gratitude for her daughter and the crew: "They saved my life."
