If you're administering a not-for-profit arts organization, you've more than tax reports to file during April. The National Endowment for the Arts has four deadlines for grant applications for fiscal 1998 funding.
Here's a list of the categories and the application postmark deadline for each:
(1) Heritage & Preservation, April 1; (2) Education & Access, April 7; (3) Creation & Presentation, April 16; and Planning & Stabilization, April 30.
The endowment will not accept any application material by electronic transmission (e.g. fax or E-mail) unless requested by the endowment staff.

On another matter, on March 7, the National Council on the Arts--the endowment's advisory group, will meet in Washington, D.C., to consider about $60 million in grants, including Creation & Presentation and partnership grants to state and regional agencies.
