Emmy Drama Predictions
With the Emmy nominations being announced this Thursday, it's time for some last-minute predictions and hopes. Today we'll tackle the drama categories with me listing my dream ballot—who I think *should* be nominated in each category, followed by who likely *will* be nominated.

Best Actor in a Drama Series – Who should be nominated

Kyle Chandler, "Friday Night Lights"
Nathan Fillion, "Castle"
Michael C. Hall, "Dexter"
Jon Hamm, "Mad Men"
Hugh Laurie, "House"
Timothy Olyphant, "Justified"

Who will be nominated: More than any other category, I expect the Emmys to agree with me on these nominees—I predict all but Nathan Fillion will actually score nominations. Fillion's slot will be filled by Steve Buscemi for being miscast on "Boardwalk Empire." But also keep an eye out for Ray Romano of "Men of a Certain Age," who's been doing a lot of press coming off a strong season. And yes, I know Fillion might seem a lightweight compared to some of these names, but it's not his fault his show falls into the drama category. And the truth is, he's an expert at making what he does—carry an entire show—look effortless.

Who should/will win: With Bryan Cranston and "Breaking Bad" sitting this year out, it's time to reward one of the actors who is a perpetual also-ran: Michael C. Hall, Jon Hamm, or Hugh Laurie. Choosing between one of these greats, who have all deserved to win before, is virtually impossible. But I'm leaning towards Hall, who I really thought would snag it last year.
