"Back Stage" Launches Its Own Website

  • Share:

Back Stage has entered the worldwide digital environment with the official launch of its website. The site is meant to supplement the print version of the newspaper with daily updates of casting notices and theatre and entertainment news.

The website includes the Broadway Cash Register, which ranks Broadway shows according to attendance and income. The Show listings section provides dates, times and a description of every currently running Broadway and Off-Broadway show, as well as many Off-Off-Broadway shows.

"Back Stage Notes," the on-line column by Managing Editor David Sheward, "offers commentary, reviews, and casting highlights." The weekly column also includes trivia questions and an occasional wisecrack.

At this point, only a portion of the casting section is on the website. Soon, loyal readers will be able to sign up for the member area, which will feature all of the casting notices from the pages of Back Stage and Back Stage West. Members will also have access to an awards database, back issues of the newspapers, and eventually a list of agents and casting directors.

Contact Back Stage via the website, or via e-mail at backstage backstagecasting.com to comment on what you want to see on the website and in the
