Berlin Film Festival Sets Up $20,000 Prize for Young German Directors
Any of the directors whose films screened in the festival's young German cinema sidebar, Perspektive Deutsches Kino, are eligible to apply for award, called the Made in Germany Perspektive Fellowship.
A three-member jury made up of director Thomas Arslan, actress Anna Bruggemann and producer Gian-Piero Ringel will pick the winner from project submissions. The inaugural prize will be presented at a ceremony at next year's Berlin Film Festival.
The fellowship is backed by German watchmaker Glashutte Original.
