Summer is upon us when it's time to break out the big floppy hats. And the woodstock fringe is asking that you don that cap for their annual benefit and Festival of Theatre and Song.

The Festival, which runs Aug. 4-Sept. 3, will feature original plays, Shakespeare, and musical events all presented at the Byrdcliffe Theatre, in upstate New York. The program includes Incognito, by Michael Fosberg, Hamlet presented by the Tiny Ninja Theater, and two songwriting duos.

A reception benefiting the festival will be held Saturday, July 15, at the gardens of Nigel Pugh and Louis Lindsay, 3961 Route 212, Lake Hill, NY.

Tickets to the reception cost $15; RSVP to (845) 810-0123.
