Long-running hits and new Tony winners continue to show strong box office returns. "Wicked" and "The Lion King" still dominate the number one and two spots, and "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" jumps to number three, perhaps because of the publicity surrounding the upcoming film reboot which opens July 3. Best Musical Tony winner "Once" grossed more than $1 million for the first time, and "Newsies," and "Nice Work If You Can Get It" maintain healthy receipts.
