Broadway Box Office: 'Wicked' Tops Post-Tony Box Office; 'Once' Surges

In the first week after the Tony Awards telecast, "Wicked" maintained its lead at the box office. But winning new shows benefited from the exposure. "Once" which collected eight awards including best musical, had its best week yet, showing a gain of more than $110,000 from the previous week. "Newsies" and "Nice Work If You Can Get It," which also took home statues, showed smaller bumps.
