The Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) is accepting applications for six space grants -- up to 70 hours of free rehearsal space in any of BAX's three studios -- from Brooklyn-based dance, theatre, and performance artists, to be used between June and September 2006. At the conclusion of the grant period, the awardees will perform in one of two October showcases at BAX, which is located in Park Slope. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Fri., April 14.
BAX is also accepting 2006-07 artist-in-residence applications from theatre and performance artists. The recipients will be provided with a home base for one year and 200 hours of free rehearsal space, a stipend, and opportunities to present work in progress and finished work with full production and marketing support. Applicants must reside in New York City, and applications are due by 5 p.m. on Fri., May 5.
