Alyson Silverberg will cast "El Jefe," a comedy pilot about a 30-year-old man who finally gets kicked out of his dad and step-mom's house and moves in with his family's cleaning lady. Michael Patrick Jann ("Reno 911!") will direct the pilot, which was created by Moses Port and David Guarascio ("Aliens In America"). Silverberg has previously cast TV shows such as "Greek," "How I Met Your Mother," "The O.C.," and "Dawson's Creek."
Megan Branman and Dylann Brander are casting "Rebounding," a single-camera comedy pilot that centers on a man who is recovering from the death of his fiancée, with the help of the idiots at his pick-up basketball game. The show is inspired by the real-life experiences of co-creator Joe Port, who developed the pilot with Joe Wiseman and "Modern Family" co-creator Steve Levitan. Jason Winer, who directed the pilot for "Modern Family," will direct.
Together, Branman and Brander have cast "Hawthorne," "Law & Order: L.A.," "The Cleaner," and many other television projects.
Finally, Debi Manwiller of Pagano/Manwiller Casting will cast an hour-long medical drama pilot from "Drop Dead Diva" creator Josh Berman and producer Rob Wright. The untitled projects is about a female doctor who makes extra money working for the mob in Chicago. Michael Dinner will direct the pilot, which shoots in March. Manwiller has cast TV series including "Charlie's Angels," "Franklin & Bash," "24," and "Chicago Hope."
