NICKELODEON
NOTE: All of the available Nickelodeon audition time slots have been filled.
However, you should still attend Actorfest for a chance to drop off your headshot and resume in the Actorfest Drop Boxes -- which will include a Nickelodeon box -- plus additional boxes for many other top casting directors; attend NBC, Telemundo, mun2, and Grant Wilfley auditions; meet casting directors; and more!
Stand-bys
At Actorfest, a select number of people may be allowed as same-day stand-bys for Nickelodeon auditions. To participate:
-- Age Range is 13 to 17 years old. All talent must play Middle School through High School Age Only.
-- You and your guardian must be registered Actorfest attendees. (Registration is FREE. Visit http://actorfestnyc2011.eventbrite.com to register.)
To be included, visit the Nickelodeon stand-by table at Actorfest to pick up a stand-by bracelet. Numbers are limited; early attendance is recommended. If audition slots becomes available during the day, specific announcements will be made on the main event floor. We do not guarantee that standby talent will audition.
Audition Overview
Nickelodeon is holding a general casting call for various projects.
Please be aware that:
- YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND EVENT
- Age Range is 13 to 17 years old. All talent must play Middle School through High School Age Only.
General admission to Actorfest is free. There is no fee to audition for Nickelodeon, but you MUST have a pre-registered and confirmed time frame.
A guardian MUST register for your audition time and be present at the audition and event. No talent will be seen without a guardian present. Do not register if you are not available to attend. Time frames are limited.
To choose a time frame, click on the "Register" button (top of the page) and choose an available free Nickelodeon Audition time frame during the registration process; space is limited, so early registration is strongly recommended.
What:
Nickelodeon Casting is seeking talent ages 13 to 17 years only, preferably within four (4) hours of New York City. Boys & Girls, all types & ethnicities. All talent must play middle school through high-school age only. We are seeking comedic and out-going actors.

How to Register
Talent must register and receive a confirmed time frame; click on the "Register" button (top of the page) to register.
Audition Check In:
~ Recommended check-in with Actorfest Front Desk is two (2) hours prior to Confirmed Nickelodeon Audition time frame.
~ Talent must check in at Nickelodeon Registration one (1) hour prior to confirmed Nickelodeon Audition time frame.

Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 W. 18th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenue), New York, NY 10011.
What to Prepare:
~ Audition materials (a very brief comedic scene) will be given on site only. We recommend studying your lines while waiting in line.
~ You MUST bring a picture (snapshot ok) and resume, stapled together; must include contact info.
What to Wear:
~ Dress is casual.
What to Expect From Your Day:
~ The audition itself should not last longer than 1–2 minutes.
~ Wait time could be several hours. (Comfortable shoes and snacks are recommended.)
~ A limited number of people will be notified at their audition that they have a callback.
~ If you do not receive a callback this does not mean you are "out." We may callback talent who are "right" for current projects.
Important Info:

NBC, TELEMUNDO AND MUN2
NBC, Telemundo and mun2 will be holding auditions designed to add diversity to their expanding talent pool.
There Is No Guarantee That Everyone Will Be Seen; Early Attendance Is Strongly Recommended.
What:
NBC is seeking union talent (SAG or AFTRA members only); Males and Females, who can play ages 18 to 45.
Telemundo is seeking Spanish-Speaking and Bilingual actors; Males and Females, all ages; union and non-union talent welcome.
mun2 is seeking Spanish-Speaking, English-speaking and Bilingual actors; Males and Females, all ages; union and non-union talent welcome.

GRANT WILFLEY FILM & TV CASTING
Grant Wilfley Casting is casting background for a number of current and future film and television projects.
Current projects include: "Boardwalk Empire," "Pan Am," "Person of Interest," "Royal Pains," "Smash," "I Just Want My Pants Back," and "Over/Under."

CASTING DIRECTOR MEET & DROPS
The Meet & Drops at Actorfest provide you with the opportunity to have a 1-2 minute one-on-one meeting with a well-know casting director, and drop off a copy of your headshot and resume.
This is a great opportunity to meet a knowledgeable casting director, ask questions you've been eager to know answers to, and get critical feedback on your pix & résumé presentation. Don't forget to bring plenty of copies of your headshot and résumé (stapled together) to Actorfest!
Meet & Drop sessions are only available to attendees who have purchased an Actorfest workshop packages. When you purchase a workshop package, you will be given a pass to attend a Meet & Drop for FREE.

Barbara McNamara: Casts background and principal roles for movies, TV shows, and commercials. Credits include "The Devil Wears Prada," "Duplicity," and "30 Rock."
David Vaccari, CSA: Casting director at Telsey + Company, credits include film, theater, and TV, and commercials. Credits include "Dan in Real Life" and "Howl."
Erica Palgon: Casts feature films, commercials, and voice-overs. Credits include NY casting for "X-Men 3" and "Fantastic Four" and numerous indie films, as well as commercials for for T-Mobile, Wii, Virgin Mobile, and many others.
Jason Styres: Associate at Binder Casting, which has cast over 70 Broadway shows (including "The Lion King," "The Miracle Worker," and many others); the prestigious NYCC "Encores!" series; the upcoming Broadway productions of "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "Rebecca"; and films such as "Hairspray," "Dreamgirls," and "Nine."

HEADSHOT & RÉSUMÉ DROP BOXES
Lots of casting directors will have drop boxes set up at Actorfest that you can use to drop off your pix & résumés for FREE. Back Stage will make sure that the boxes are shipped directly to the casting directors' offices so they'll have a chance to see your info.
So make sure to bring multiple copies of your headshots and resumes (stapled together) to Actorfest. And make sure to drop off your pix & résumés in the boxes early, because the boxes will be promptly packed up before the end of the day.
If you are planning to attend a general casting call, you must have a picture & resume in hand. Do NOT drop the last picture & resume you have with you that day in a Headshot & Resume Dropbox.
