Audition Advice from Christopher Nolan of 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Should any actor be fortunate enough to audition for Nolan, is there anything to know coming into that room? “Oh gosh, there’s a bunch of rules, actually,” Nolan says. “I ought to publish a rule book.” In lieu of that, he offers the following:

“Do not bring props.”

“Don’t ask to stand. Just sit down and do it.”

“Don’t ask to do it again when you’ve finished. Just do it once and have confidence with it.”
