Three of the medical-themed pilots picked up for series by FOX will have new casting directors, Back Stage has learned.

"The Following," a crime drama starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, had its pilot cast by Lesli Gelles-Raymond at GO Casting. But with the series set to shoot in New York, the network opted for Julie Tucker of Tucker/Meyerson, an office which is based in the city. The series, in which serial killers use social media to hunt for their victims, also stars Canadian actress Jeananne Goossen.

Actress and writer Mindy Kaling's new series, "The Mindy Project," also got a new casting director. The show, which has had several titles during its development, features "The Office" actor and writer as a single OB/GYN juggling her personal and professional lives. The pilot was cast by Felicia Fasano, but Jeanne McCarthy was brought in to cast the series.

The network's other new medical drama, "The Mob Doctor," also switched casting directors after it was picked up. The pilot for the Josh Berman–Rob Wright produced drama was cast by Debi Manwiller of Pagano/Manwiller Casting. But with the series set to shoot in Chicago, FOX added Claire Simon, of Windy City-based Simon Casting, and Los Angeles-based Jennifer Cooper to do the casting. The show features Jordana Spiro as doctor who moonlights for the Chicago mob because of family obligations. The series also stars Jamie Lee Kirchner.
