Marc Hirschfeld will cast “Brothers-in-Law,” about a man who struggles to find common ground with the eccentric fiancé of his wife’s twin sister. Susie Farris will cast “I’m Not Dead Yet,” which centers on a man who decides to take a bolder approach to life after he learns he has a rare heart condition that could cause him to drop dead at any moment.
Both comedies were given cast-contingent orders, meaning that the network must approve the cast before granting the final green light. Tentatively, “Brother-in-Law” is scheduled to shoot in July, and “I’m Not Dead Yet” will shoot in August.
Hirschfeld’s current credits include the TV Land series “Happily Divorced,” ABC’s “Last Man Standing,” and the upcoming Starz drama “Marco Polo.” Farris casts USA Network’s spy drama “Covert Affairs” and NBC comedy “Whitney.”
