The 10-episode series, titled “Mrs. Eastwood & Company,” premieres May 20 on the E! network and will spotlight Dina Eastwood, a former news anchor and actor who’s been married to the “Dirty Harry” actor since 1996. Their 15-year-old daughter Morgan and Eastwood’s daughter from his previous marriage to Frances Fisher, Francesca, 18, will also be making regular appearances.
Bunim-Murray Productions, the same company that produced “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” “The Real World” and “Bad Girls Club,” is taking the reigns on the family’s first reality TV appearance. The show will be filmed in the family’s hometown of Carmel, Calif., as well as in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the show is meant to take a peek into what it’s like to live in a family of “Hollywood royalty.” The macho movie star icon is rumored to have a handful of cameos on the series but will not be taking on a major role.
In addition to shining a light on the Eastwoods, Dina’s six-member South African vocal group, Overtone, will also be getting in on the action. Discovered by the Eastwoods, the all-male group came to the US to record the soundtrack for Clint’s film “Invictus.”
Eastwood’s Hollywood hits include “Million Dollar Baby,” “Gran Torino,” and “Letters from Iwo Jima.” The actor is currently working on a musical remake of “A Star is Born,” featuring Grammy winner Beyoncé, who will play small-time nightclub singer Ester Blodgett. Eastwood is also currently in talks with Academy award nominee Tom Cruise about getting Cruise on board with the production, according to Playbill.
