Applications are being accepted for the third grant cycle of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) BUILD program, which will award approximately $100,000 to New York City-based dance companies with small and mid-sized budgets.
The BUILD program (Building Up Infrastructure Levels for Dance) supports active New York City-based dance companies, underwriting such expenses as administrative/consultation costs, computers and equipment, studio or space rental, and company promotional materials. An application seminar will be held Tues., Jan. 16 at 6 pm in NYFA's office, located at 155 Ave. of the Americas (at Spring St.), on the 14th floor.
Applications must be postmarked or received at NYFA by 5 pm on Feb. 5. They will be reviewed by a panel of choreographers, company managers, and presenters.
