Equity and RWS Sign Agreement

RWS and Associates, a firm that produces entertainment for amusement parks, corporations, and retail centers, has entered into a collective bargaining agreement with Actors' Equity Association. Beginning in 2012, Equity members will be allowed to work in select RWS productions under a union contract.

"I feel it is important to not only provide employment opportunities for professional actors, but also establish a training ground that will assist emerging performers who are working towards receiving their Equity cards," Ryan Stana, chief executive officer of RWS, said in a written statement.

Both parties are pleased with the arrangement and expect to announce more details in December.
