With a cast headed by Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, "Hitchcock" director Sacha Gervasi knew his debut feature film was in good hands. Detailing the period of time when Alfred Hitchcock (Hopkins) decided to adapt the novel "Psycho" to the big screen, the movie also concentrates on the director's relationship with his long-suffering wife, Alma (Mirren). Gervasi had the task of casting well-known actors to play equally well-known actors of an earlier generation, such as Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh and Jessica Biel as Vera Miles. Also featured in the spectacular ensemble are Danny Huston, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Toni Collette.
In this featurette, available exclusively on Backstage, the actors and director discuss the process of brining "Hitchock" to life. Gervasi, for one, admits that much of the heavy lifting was done in the casting, noting, "My job, really, was to let them be brilliant."
